Phlebotomist

Assists technical personnel in performing limited testing and clerical tasks. Performs all procedures under the direct supervision of a medical technologist. Performs related duties as assigned.Processes specimens received in the laboratory and prepares them for testing.Performs blood specimen collection (phlebotomy). Position Details:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Phlebotomy experience is required. Computer skills. Organizational skills. Good communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate and orderly records. Equipment Used: Standard laboratory instrumentation.
Preferred Education: Some college courses in science preferred.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience preferred.
